SSA Questions & Answers
SSA Rumor # 4: All properties
in Wonder Lake and the surrounding area will have to help pay
to get our Lake dredged.
SSA Fact # 4: Only those properties with deeds
granting lake access, and those that border our lakefront, are
included in the boundary for the proposed SSA.
In addition to those subdivisions / properties that are members
of the MPOA, these properties would also be included within the
SSA boundary:
- the Wonderview, Sunny Oaks and Greenhill Shores subdivisions
that have access through membership in their Wonderview Parks
Association park and boat ramp facility on Lake Shore Drive in
South Bay.
The following properties in the Wonder Lake area ARE NOT
INCLUDED within the boundary of the proposed SSA:
- St. Joseph Court
- Feyer’s Subdivision
- Spring Creek Estates
- Parker’s Highlands
- Deer Path
- Woods Creek
- Giant Oaks
- The proposed Thatcher Meadows Development
- Properties north of our dam and north of Barnard Mill Road
that ARE NOT in the Wonder Woods Subdivision, and/Or the Hickory
Falls I & II and/or Hickory Falls III.
- All properties that are not taxed & are owned by the Village
of Wonder Lake and/or subdivisions with deeded lake rights and
or access.
SSA BOUNDRY MAP (PDF)
If your property does not provide you with deeded access
to Wonder Lake and it is not contiguous to the lake shoreline,
it is not included in the boundary of the proposed SSA.
